Eine anschauliche Einführung in das Thema Social-Media-Monitoring hat Stefan Betzold von pier314 auf dem gestern in Berlin stattgefundenen Social-Media-Camp gegeben. Zudem hat er auch einen umfassenden Überblick über entsprechende Social-Media- Monitoring-Tools vorgestellt. Anbei die gesamte Präsentation!
Wie Stefan Betzold betonte, handelt es sich bei den momentan auf dem Markt erhältlichen Monitoring-Tools fast ausschließlich um US-amerikanische Produkte. Das Problem für den deutschen Social-Media-Markt sei, dass diese Tools für die semantische Analyse von deutschen Social-Media-Angeboten weitestgehend ungeeignet sind, da sie beispielsweise mit der Interpretation von Umlauten überfordert seien. Diese Marktlücke hat man bei pier314 erkannt und sitzt momentan an der Entwicklung eines „erschwinglichen“ deutschen Tools für Social-Media-Monitoring namens Cloudtracker.fm, das sich momentan noch in der geschlossenen Alpha-Phase befindet und voraussichtlich im Herbst 2009 auf den Markt kommen soll.
